Fellini Judean Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah
Beautiful dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
On the nose, light barnyard, cherries, blackberries, plums, currants, earth, vanilla, licorice, dirt and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with high acidity and nice legs.
Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, currants, earth, forest floor, black pepper and spices.
Long finish with full tannins and peppercorn.
A nice blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. I had it directly from the barrel, which was nice. Enjoyable by itself or with food. Needs a couple of years in the bottle to become its own, but already drinking very nicely and well balanced. I wish this was a bit bolder, though.
Aged for 17 months in French and American oak barrels.
13.6% alcohol by volume.
