This reserve release of the always superlative Pilot Hill Gang Cabernet Blend is labeled a Cabernet Sauvignon, so this one is at least 75% Cab, with the rest most likely Merlot. There is a bit of oak to the body, but not overmuch. The tannic structure is big; imagine Rutherford dust turned up to 11 😸 The overall flavor might be described as dried black currant and unsweetened dark chocolate. Perhaps there is a splash of Petit Verdot in the mix? Kudos Mr. Parish!
