Decant or cellar this delicious young wine for best results. This joint effort by Mr. McLeod and Mr. Parish is everything one would hope for in a Claret - medium-big body, refreshing bright acidity, and cherries as dark as the blackest night. The lingering tingly finish delivers on the earlier promise of dusty dark chocolate tones.

The fifth anniversary of this Bordeaux style blend - minus Scott McLeod -! is still quite good. It is fruit-forward, sensual, and intimate. It is full bodied with thick chewy tannins and dark currant flavors, with a dusty coffee finish.

A young Cabernet-Merlot blend from El Dorado grapes, this wine has a medium body with smooth structure and cherry/blueberry flavors. Still quite young, it will benefit from decanting or laying down a bit.

Not terrible. A little acidic with tannins that have barely mellowed. The merlot is lost in the cab blend. Red currants and a little smoke.

Tart cherry smell and taste. Dry but smooth finish.

This was better than the same bottle last year. Tannins were more mellow and able to taste more of the blend. Highly recommend decanting for an hour beforehand.
