Unexpectedly spritely acidity for a Kabinett of this age. A fair amount of sweetness left, balanced by emerging petrol, earth, and mineral tones.

Wow. Such a dynamic range of flavors. Baked apple, light elder flower notes, walnuts, quince, honeyed...so interesting. This auslese was a lot of fun. Still has good acid.

Lacks some mid palate depth and is a little bitter on the finish, but nevertheless aging really nicely and the nose is fantastic.

You can say I was hella geeked to try a Riesling that's slightly older than me. Tennis balls on the nose like whoa! A little touch of sweetness, yet still a treat. Definitely a slow sipper.

Auslese. Quince, candied ginger, hazelnut, honey, rooibos, peaches. Nuts, raisins, rocks, lemons, and nectarines on the palette. Still stunningly vibrant acidity. Could age more better to drink now as the balance of fruit and tertiary flavors is excellent.
