Hochheimer Hölle Spätlese Riesling

Hölle sh*#t balls.

Lacking acidity. Veering towards apple juice flavors. Not my favorite old Schonborn. Saving half for tomorrow. Maybe will improve with air.

Pear, exotic spice, weird/awesome chlorine thing.

Oxidized. But still interested and with great acid and some dried fruit.

Smoky goodness.

Sugar all got integrated, acid and petrol still there with lots of baked fruit.

Delicious!

Actually had the 1989

Vibrantly fresh nectar with a citrus zing leading into a faint hazelnut mid-note. Hints of petrol on the finish. Lovely and a magic pairing with signature egg and uni dish. 1991 vintage

Showing it's age with a gorgeous honeyed apricot color, still quite generous fruit and a chiseled finish. Such a wonderful and noble wine.
