Ruby red, dense core of moderately extracted pigment. Aromas of mint, cherry, barrel wood, maybe smoke. Cherry and cranberry flavors, smooth mouthfeel, not much skin or seed tannin expression on initial pour, but they emerge in earnest after 5-10 minutes. It becomes tart after an hour, but in a flavorful, red fruit way. Tannins settle down after two hours: smooth, rounded, red fruit nectar with a touch of allspice, light but balanced. Not your usual style of Cabernet, but for the curious... worth a try if you decant it first.
