Very cool surprise. 1st time tasting a Gran Canaria wine and ditto Listan Negro. Translucent bright ruby that fades into a burnt orange rim. Sexy spiced red cherry and plum and breathy, dank cigar smoke on the nose. Transitions smoothly into dashes of ground pepper, worn leather, and brandy-braised orange and red fruit on the palate. High acid. Tannins are hard to describe, coming in late and light, but toothsome. Lots to think about here and huge QPR value.

Light bodied, balanced tannins and acid with dominant spice flavors, especially black pepper on the back end.
