Heavily oaked and I wouldn’t call my self over-sensitive to the stuff. A better than decent wine but so many others at this price-point that would bring me more satisfaction.

This is a great value Merlot - first had this in Santiago circa 2002, and it is very consistent thru vintage. Deep & dark, distinct chocolate note along with plums, cassis, vanilla & sweet spices. Firm & plush, to decent finish. At 8 yrs this is very similar to profile @ release.

Tasted single blind - Dark to the core. Expresso, mocha, eucalyptus, and licorice. Plum fruits. Broad and imposing. Boisenberry leads a chalky tannin finish that coats the mouth

V13. Very nice wine. Herbal and cedar nose. Blueberry and blackberry fruit. Soft, green peppercorn mocha and leather finish. Well balanced, nice food wine.
