This is a full mouth of ripe bright red fruit. Raspberries pervade the palate and the finish is smooth and satisfying. Chianti seems to get a bad rap as a "cheap wine to have with spaghetti". Not so, but this one does make you dream of that perfect Italian meal because you know you're going to have a wonderful wine to accompany it!

Deep purpley red
Light, sweet nose, sweet red fruits
Soft and balanced taste, with an edge of sharp redcurrant or even lemony acid on the tip of the tongue
Tight tannins balance those tart and high, fresh, almost meadowy flavours
This isn't a wine that says 'look at me!' but a wine that coyly winks 'come and get me big boy'

From an ancient fortified hamlet near Florence
