Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir

Good table wine, lasted a decent amount of time when under vacuum

Tried it blind and guessed a Spanish Rioja. Either I suck, or this isn't a very good Cali Pinot noir, is it?
Despite that, I like it very much. Why must we be so caught up in whether the varietal is expressing itself accurately? Sometimes it's just whether the wine is doing its job or not, right?

Big red cherry and red berry fruit, cola and sandalwood/spice. Round and big mouthfeel

v17. Very good!!! Soft, dusty, candied black cherry nose. Fresh, rich, cherry medley. Clean, medium mineral finish. Great food wine.

Unusual for Pinot, full bouquet, cherry and full bodied

Excellent wine

I really liked this one - it had a bit of a bite for a Pinot.

Smooth and slightly fruity. Perfect with a ribeye but went well with my chicken.

Nicely aged coastal Pinot. Dried currants and licorice notes. Deep ruby body. Nicely aged but nearing the end of its drinkability.

Full bodied, cherry, dark fruits, tobacco, earthy. Delicious!!!
