Ripe fruit on the nose. Some sour and tart cherry on the finish. Some pepper. Despite one hour decant, this was still a bit overwhelming in its alcohol impact. Definitely complex, structured and softens with time in the decanter. But this was probably meant to stay in the cellar for another year. We robbed this baby from the cradle. Potential to be a 90+ wine.
