Black licorice! Dark fruit. Chocolate. Wild yeast. 3.5hr decant. Big, as expected for 15% alc. No regrets. Needs patience.

A lot of mineral underpinnings in this wine. Black rocks and baked earth on the nose and palate. Black licorice, smoke, roasted plums, crushed black cherry, fig, cracked pepper, sweet wood, dried flowers, leather, tar, coffee. Complex and so fun to drink. Developed a lot with 2+ hours in the decanter. Tannins are firm, run right down the middle of the palate, and offer this raw/rustic edge to the wine.

Nose was filled with dried rose petals and nail polish remover. Palate was filled with cherries followed by a long finish of wet stone.
