I don't think I would have immediately picked out that this was a Malbec. It's not big and the tannins are soft here. Beautiful raspberry and plum. You don't need to be anywhere close to the glass to get your first whiff of the nose. Nicely structured and though not big, it was big enough to complement a pepper steak.

Very fruit forward in the beginning, with lots of sweet plum. Let it open up at least an hour to let the tannins shine through. Lighter for a malbec, no full lingering after notes. Drinkable for the price, but there arw definitely better malbecs.
