Apartado Gran Chardonnay
The 2018 Chardonnay Apartado Gran is made from grapes from Gualtallary and El Cepillo in the Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in 50% new oak. Golden yellow in the glass. The initially shy nose is dominated by the aging process, offering hazelnuts and yeast before opening up into fine layers of apple and ginger cookie over a bed of butter and oak. Broad and creamy on the palate with mild concentration; vibrant freshness provides a counterpoint. The oak returns during the persistent finish, accompanied by notes of vanilla and yeast. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, June 2021)

#dfwe2018

Dec 25th, 2018Rich golden hue, green apple blended with spiced white oak aromas. Lush in the truest sense with a supple glitter of toasted oak. Creamy but not overpowering. Finishes with a dire thirst for another sip. Yeah baby! My kind of Chardy.
