Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Color of inky purple, almost Syrah like. Nice legs. Nose of sweet cherry and strawberry jam, aldehyde, spicy alcohol, almond, vanilla, and a bit of tobacco leaves. Nose is above average. Taste follows the nose with addition of peppery note, zest, ripe grapes, oak, some tannins, and a bit mineral. Aftertaste shows some more oak and sweet ripe grapes and peppery finish. On par.

A bit on the sweet side for a Cab, but really quite good. A bit less sweet and this could easily have been a favorite. Good value.

Solid Cab. Doesn’t taste like a Rutherford but nice every day Cab. Full bodied.

A little too much on the sweet side for my taste but otherwise tasty.

Easy to drink. Sweet for a red wine. Not very long finish. Mildly oaky with Berry undertone
