2001 vintage. Deep dark garnet, you can see the fruit you are about to enjoy. Deep luscious stewed dark red berries - cherries, blackberries - intense stuff. Spicy wood and violets are folded in layers through the dense fruit. The wine pens after time in the glass and in so rich and clean that you know this has years of enjoyment still to come, and enormous wine. Flavors sit in the mouth for a long time to reminisce the pleasures.
