Second 2018 Pinot of the evening. As always the RRV Pinots are well blended and representative of the Russian River Valley.

Had a few years of this one and really enjoy the mixture. Light, not overly complex, a Pinot that you can sip and sip and sip.

The night needed two Pilots and both from 2017. This remains a good standby and I do enjoy this vintage from differing CA appellations.

Needed something tried and true last night and this fit the bill.

Really caught multiple layers of dark berry with strawberry, raspberry and hint of blueberry coming through. Light color and flavor that reminds of a Oregon Pinot but. . . It’s from the famed RRV. Love this winery!

Needed something “known” to drink and this fit the bill. The light color hides the multi-berries flavors that tend to favor raspberry. Slight flint and chalk are mixed at the mid palate with mild earth tones. Would recommend letting it open up a bit. As always though, this brought a smile to my face.

Drank this right when it was first offered and then held a few bottles on my rack. A couple years appear to have smoothed some of the rough edges and made a more “simple” cuvee into something more elegant. Yes, we get the dark berry combination on the nose and palate but the mid palate to finish feels velvety and screams “Drink More!”

When I know I want a certain taste. . . I just come back to this. Hard to go wrong with RRV Pinot.
