Apr 8th, 2018This is essentially a SuperTuscan blend: Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet. It makes an excellent dinner table wine, but perhaps not an ideal cocktail wine. It was perfect for leftover night, proving its food-friendly versatility. It has some minerality, a sort of chalkiness to the body; black currant and clove flavors with a touch of bitter black strap molasses to the finish.
