Ruhlmann Dirringer
Vieilles Vignes Alsace Riesling
Showing better than last time. Petrol, pear, honey, lemon and lemon peel notes compose this quite inviting and complex nose. The palate shows a great acid backbone, some pure pear notes, all along, a bit of a sweet and soft mouthfeel with almost a pear juice feel, with a bit of a grain and a rather short finish with pear and lemon touches. This is not bad, actually better than what I thought it could be.

Oct 13th, 2023At first the nose was muted, but after a while it started showing some pineaple notes, and after another while some more usual lemon peel notes. The palate is less laser beam precise than what I'm used to with German riesling, but it shows a good acid drive and some lemon and lemon peel notes all along, there is a bit of width, a nice bitter note in the end, reminiscent of the lemon peel notes that can be found in the nose. Good example of its kind.
