Fresh Grenache raspberry aromas but unfortunately with hints of elastoplast/bandaid indicating the presence of Brett yeast spoilage. 76% Grenache 14% Syrah and 10% Mataro. Only 2066 bottles of this cult Barossa label made. A pity that this Wine which is otherwise flavoursome and enjoyable is spoiled by Brettanomyces.

This wine. Priced at 29 I couldn't believe it, but turns out it was miss labelled. Dried florals, thyme amongst other herbs, cherry, pepper and just ripe plums. Not only intoxicating on the nose. It entirely seductive in the palate with length only many could envy with a supple but ever present tannin that provides the supporting role. One of a few hanging the mindset of Barossa wine and its all for the greater good.

A touch of barnyard.
Brett has shortened this wine.
Reminds of great memories in CDP.

Don’t have much experience with Brett but maybe that’s the stuff I didn’t like about this wine in the first few days. When that blew off this wine had herbaceous notes and was borderline savory for me. Don’t have a great reference point for such a wine but hopefully I get more opportunities to taste more of this in the future.

Heady nose of rhubarb - fresh through stewed - strawberry and herbs. Beautifully slippery in the gob, not too hot and heavy, bit of savoury through as well. My kind of good time.

Moderate displaying ripe black fruit notes of blackberry and dark cherry, strawberry and hints of liquorice and chocolate. Very silky tannins well-balanced by the juicy fruit concentration and the well-integrated alcohol. Medium (+) finish. An elegant expression of Barossa's Grenache.

Wow, PWS recommendation, silky spices, elegant and not typical 'big barossa'. PIN weight, was expecting heavier weight but was not at all displeased. His Syrah dominant blend was recommended also.. Looking forward to trying
