"Odedi"

Dark inky in color with a purplish rim.
This 14% alcohol has nice legs to show for it.

On the nose, vanilla (which surprised me a little) and red berries.

Soft and smooth on the palate with cherries, blackberries, earth and black pepper.

Medium bodied with Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and cherries with a shot of black pepper.

Nice an interesting Syrah from south Africa

The fruitiest Syrah I've ever had; wonderful and rich, but still a summer friendly red.

Another pre gcm that may have lacked optimal storage conditions. 2005 in Jan '20. Def past best days. Acid greater than the fruit almost of which had a baked tone though aromatically I thought otherwise. Spice and pepper were not present. 13% on the label but felt higher. More interesting than good. =(
