Round Theory
Pinot Gris
Carrying on with my summer wine trends (see the full post on the blog for some pretty exciting new products out), next up is sustainable drinking.
I was kindly sent this bottle of Round Theory wine recently to taste (thank you!).
People are far more environmentally conscious these days, including us wine drinkers!
A new wine range to recently hit the scenes from New Zealand is Round Theory Wines. Apart from the very funky stocky bottles, these wines are perfect for those of us who are environmentally conscious and looking to live a more sustainable wino life.
So how are they sustainable?
* They offset at least double their carbon emissions having partnered with CarbonClick to sure they are Climate Friendly
* They are sustainably grown and sourced + put into glass bottles that are 30% lighter and 35% shorter and made from clear glass to improve their carbon footprint
* The labels are printed on recyclable stock and the inks are environmentally friendly
* They are all vegan friendly wines
There is a Marlborough Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and White Field Blend alongside a Hawkes Bay Rose in the range currently (potentially a Chardonnay and reds to come).
I recently tried the Pinot Gris and I have to admit I found it very easy to consume. It was light, fresh and thirst quenching.
The round Theory Wines are available at Dan Murphy’s and BWS for $23.
