Am I drinking the same wine as everyone else?? The nose was sooo promising with notes of bramble, leather, pencil shavings and dark fruit. The palate fell short with the dark fruits tasting more stewed, the structure was clunky, and the alcohol felt higher than the listed 14.5%. All the structure seemed to come from the oak and even that was slipping away. Simply put, this was disappointing and not meant to be aged, even for a half dozen years.

See prior notes, but one of my favorite Napa cabs. Elegant floral and chocolate notes are followed by a rich velvety texture with flavors if blueberry, dark red fruit, and currant. Long full finish. Very nuanced where others are just full boar.
