First of the two 2014 Napa wines we tried tonight. Very impressed with this bottling.
Deep and dark ruby red. Super dark on the nose with dark cocoa, graphite, dusty, dark berries, cassis and a bit of purple floral notes. Love the palate on this bottling, powerful and extracted yet a touch elegant. Heavy tannins (7.5/.10) and full bodied. Layers of dark riverstones, cassis, dark sweet spices and a bit perfumey. Packs a punch from the alcohol side but not overpowering or unbalanced. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2029.

Very bold blend. Tastes more like a cab than a blend. Thick and chewy with a long finish. Highly recommend.
