Monte Rosso Vineyard Reserve Zinfandel

Dark in the glass: very extracted. Big and fruity. Medium tannins. High alcohol well-concealed.

Good "go to" Zin.

Present in dark cherries, fresh cut cedar, crushed plums, blackberries, some floral notes and a faint hint of dark chocolate. It's mouth is medium - full with silky medium grain tannins and sufficient acidity. Excellent.

Love Monte Rosso vineyard zins from the old vine portion. Stressful volcanic red soils. Great fruit. Not over ripe. Medium body. Color and flavor profiles suggest the wine is starting to reach its peak.

Consistently entertains the moderately to trained pallet. We like it.

Fruity, but with some bite still. Plum, sage, black cherry, raspberry, smooth finish.
