2009. Tasty fruit, great concentration, acid wash galore, savory finish. Such a treat. Made my wife and I realize how few bottles of Italian we have had of late. This will spur us back to many forgotten favorites. 15.5% abv. $40 srp.

Blend of Corvinone, Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Dark ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of cherries, cocoa powder, leather, forest floor and dried rose petals. Interesting flavors of dried red and black cherry fruit, cola, bacon fat and tobacco. A bit of a smoky note on the medium-plus/very smooth finish. Syrupy, complex and rich. Well layered and fairly well balanced. Silky tannins. Thanks for sharing, Keith S!
