Almost purple. Rich. Smooth. Almost a dusty kind of dryness. Probably great with the cattiness of meat or pasta.

Color of saturated purple, a bit bubbly and nice legs. Nose of sweet black cherry, spice, medicinal strawberry syrup, a bit oak, and a bit strength of alcohol. Taste follows the nose with addition of good solid tannins, definitely leaning on the sweet side, tinkling spicy, cherry jam, vanilla, and black pepper. Flavors are dense and mouthful. Aftertaste shows more sweetness and some bitter notes. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
