Cialla Colli Orientali del Friuli Picolit

Medium-gold color. Honey, almonds, ginger, and baked pear, a touch of oxidation. Sweet at first, then finishes with a slight nutty bitterness. Superb with blood orange cake and vanilla gelato.

Passito process picolit. Interesting. Solid intense honey and on wonder bread. Slightly oxidative, definitely showing its age. A bit odd tasting something this concentrated and Sauternes-like without botrytis.
