Romain Duvernay
Crozes-Hermitage Syrah
A ripe, soft style. Nose has earthy, crumbly granite, beef blood, iron, and purply berries. Mouthfilling and soft, the dark flavors have roasted herbs, iodine, unsweetened dark chocolate, and pungent berry ooze. Acids on the low side, but nicely-textured and full of flavor. Good value. Weirdly, the cork says “Domaine des Chemins.” That leads me to wonder whether this is essentially a negotiant buying and marketing fully-made wines.

Oct 24th, 2022No notes. Average plus good syrah from northern rhone. Nothing to rave about but a delicious juice and very little asperities. Not bad.
