Big ripe cassis, dark chocolate, round but significant tannins. Acid fruit balance is disjointed and transition from front to back palate is off. Will come around with time probably. Not enough stuffing to keep my attention.

V11. Ridiculously good...soft white pepper and cedar nose. Fresh fruit..rich black currant, with a hint of plum. Velvety smooth , slight chalky finish. Great food wine.

Aug 23rd, 2020Consumed 01/2020. Received in a shipment but I’m not sure when. I’m not good with tasting notes so I usually put what is on the bottle. But that really isn’t anything more than the label that I took a picture of. It is 15% alc / vol.

Great wine. 1 hour decant. Give it 2 years in the cellar... but, ready to drink now if you can’t wait.

Always thought Rodney Strong as a low price wine but this bottle was outstanding. Excellent with a New York Steak at Larsen's Steakhouse.

Dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla and toasted oak with notes of leather. Very smooth and balanced with a lingering finish.

Superb aromas of deep cherries and blackberries. Taste is exceedingly well balanced on the palette and finish. Taste of cherries, raspberries, blackberries. Amazing.
