This wine is a blend of 80% Zinfandel, 12% Syrah, 6% Petit Syrah and even 2% Chardonnay.
The Petit Syrah and Chardonnay were added to the final blend to lend softness to the final wine.

this wine offers bright acidity and supple tannins, and can be paired with a wide variety of foods. It’s easy going and easy to drink. Definitely a crowd pleaser at a crowd-pleasing price.

Slightly acrid upfront, full bodied, per R: “takes you on a journey but smooths out. Makes me think of mud but not in a bad way. Mineraly.”

I know commercial wines may turn you off , but these Mindavi wines can stand up against just about any brand. Much respect from me. Love the plum and spice. Hearty and less acidic after decanting. Tastes great!
