Right now its so young and immature that Having it as a desert wine is probably ok but... me thinks this wine in 5 -10 yrs is gonna bring down the house.

Salty chocolate cherries on the nose with palette notes of blueberry, crushed gravel and morel mushroom. The finish is smokey and tinged with raspberries. A beautiful wine.

Wow was this a nice blend. Lots of fruit yet balanced. Great follow up to the roast we had for dinner. Really impressed.

My Griffin with The Griffin. Vanilla, blackberry, creamy cobbler. We should stop drinking this so he gets a decent vertical when he turns 21.

We don't get a lot of chances to drink big red wines at home because Raina doesn't eat red meat, but I decided on duck tonight and knew this was in in our wine fridge. It was the perfect pairing. Perfect example of California red wine worth its price point. Dusty, earthy nose with cocoa powder, vanilla, and very dark fruit. On the palate it's lush and full bodied with bitter dark chocolate and great tannic structure that doesn't dry your mouth out. This is drinking wonderfully now, but I could also see this mellowing and developing more nuance with time.
