Napa Valley Petite Sirah

Delicious! Blueberries and blackberries and lovely floral notes. Powerful and really fresh tasting with a hint of sweetness. Holding up amazingly well.

Inky black and silky smooth texture. Big core of fruit with some graphite thrown in for good measure.

Deep, dark Inky in color with a short dark purple rim.
Wonderful nose of sweet dark fruits, blackberries, figs, raisins, cooked plums, strawberry pie, licorice, cloves, light vegetables, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, earth, leather, coffee, chocolates, light alcohol, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied, big, bold and smooth, with high acidity and great legs.
Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, green pepper, mocha, espresso and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and raspberries.
A very extracted and rich Petite Sirah from Napa Valley, California.
A bit unbalanced and tart at the ending, but a good wine, nonetheless, with nice complexity and lots of sediments.
This 10 year old has reached it's peak a year or two ago, and I'm not sure if it has enough in it to last any longer. So this would be a good time to drink yours before it's too late.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly.
15.1% alcohol by volume.

Lots of fruit and tannin! This is beautiful and could go another 10 years. Very balanced. I'm finding 04 Napa valley's are showing really well right now.

I rated this a while ago. The description is the same, but I think it’s drinking better now, hence the slightly higher score.

Deep purple! Blackberries, dark chocolate, pepper, and a bit of blueberries. Rich, full-mouth feel with a satisfying finish. Decanted for about three hours.

2007. I let the wine breathe for several hours in a decanter before we paired with a grilled butterflied leg of lamb. Fantastic match and drank great on its own after dinner.
