An excellent SLH Pinot. Dark garnet in color, 14.7% ABV yet perfectly integrated. Sierra Mar is one of my favorite SLH vineyards and ROAR knows how to get the best expression fr these berries. Easily good for 3-5 years, perhaps more - has the tannins to go long. Let’s all get along. Cheers!

Deep, brilliant scarlet. A complex, expressively perfumed bouquet evokes spice-tinged red and blue fruits, exotic spices and potpourri, along with a deeper cola nuance and a hint of smoky minerality. Energetic and seamless on the palate, offering finely etched raspberry, boysenberry, lavender pastille and spicecake flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Finishes extremely long and spicy, with polished tannins and resonating floral and berry notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2020)

Opened by accident at a bday party. Not mad about it. Super fresh and gorgeous - - like the birthday girl.

Ruby out to pink Tim, med - tears low staining... Nose is suede /leather and lots of cranberries and hint of fresh potting soil .. Palate has plenty of acidity and the finish is creamy long and smooth barrel notes galore!

I love the fruit the comes from SLH and Gary does a great job with this offering. Very complex nose-omnidirectional comes to mind. Red beets, cinnamon sticks and dried berries on the nose. Savory on entry, slight spice on the mid palate with blackberry, and a Montreal steak season flavor on the back of the palate. Extremely layered. Slight underbrush finish that's persistent.

Excellent…deep dark inky tannic Pinot….reminiscent of a Morgon Beaujolais…may have been a fruit bomb once but after 10 years mellowed yet still full of fruit - more blackberry than cherry. Would have been perfect T-giving wine. Goes without saying J preferred the fresher, cherrier SLB last night
