The Dave & Callum Powell 2014 range of Barossa reds are compelling . This GSM blend has such power, complexity, and sheer drinkability that I had almost finished the bottle before starting on this note. The bouquet and palate are a deliciously complex melange of dark red and black fruits melding beautifully with notes of gravel, leather and with a menthol fresh lift. Like all Powells wines, this is remarkably light on its feet for its size. Ideal heart starter/warmer for the cooler times upon us.
