Pours a brill black red color with very appealing and aromatic dark berry, briary, peppery spice and a hint of eucalyptus aromas. On the palate it's very fresh with mouth watering acidity, round and intensely delicious with blackberry, black raspberry, and baking spice flavors and a giving finish 100% Zinfandel #enofylzwineblog

9.2

A wine that knows what it is and consistently delivers. Ripe red fruit but not too jammy or over-extracted. Oak is balanced and the 14.6 alcohol is positively reasonable in Dry Creek.

Big, brambly, but not overripe. Slightly understated with a pleasing astringency. Great Sonoma zin.

Not great. Had too early, perhaps.

Cherry pie on the nose with a little spice, but tastes like blueberry pie (more purple/blue fruit). Good tartness for a fruity wine, with soft edges. Really good: jam and spice in right proportions, not Jam & Spice all the way down like some Zins.

9/22/13: with tri-tip grilled at home on Sunday pm

Big raspberry fruit tart nose, strawberry front, smooth jammy middle and a perfect finish that does not linger too long. Maybe the perfect Zin.
