Benito Dusi Ranch Paso Robles Zinfandel

Elegant and quite pretty for this producer. Graham cracker, sweet oak, touch of fruit with fennel, anise, forest floor, modest but firm tannin and acid.

Definitely one of the better Zinfandels I've ever had, but am just confirming the fact that I don't enjoy that grape.

Soft fruit, very modest and balanced. Subtle flavors on all sides of the tongue. The least brooding and seemingly age worthy of the new Ridges I've had recently.

Deep inky color. Dark berries bouquet and initial taste. Jammy and dark berries in the middle and finish. At West Central Wine dinner.

I like this a lot more than expected. Drinks more like a Sonoma Zin. Full fruit on the nose - black plum, cherry, pomegranite and raspberry- becomes slightly recessed on the palate giving room for some black pepper, mint and tea leaves. Great CA zin from a classic producer.

Drank too early and under less than ideal circumstances

2009 Classy Zin. Hints of black currant and spice. Nicely done, Ridge.

This wine is amazing. It's full in body but light on the tongue. It's full of light and dark fruit. A little cedar and cinnamon finish at the end.
