Vintage 2015 | bright light coloured with a frivolous smell, very vibrant, best of my bottles until now, so Pilgrim matures very well @Richard Van Oorschot Paired with a Tortilla

Vintage 2015 | the smell is introvert. Or simply disappeared in this stage of development. But warm comforting garnacha impression in taste. Paired with pork chop and salad.

Vintage 2014 / tertiary impressions in smell: perfume and shit/manure. frivolous and also a bit sharp. Interesting to taste after a few years bottle age.

Vintage 2014 - Boy, I slept well after drinking two glasses Pilgrim, garnacha from Gredos, west of Madrid. It’s 16% alcohol, but not disturbing. The wine has a lovely smell with vague impression of raspberries and a smooth spicy taste. It was saturday evening, we combined it with an ordinary but good schnitzel. #makelifesimple #garnacha #gredos

This wine was to robust for me when it was young. Incredible how it evolved into a very nice and elegant garnacha

All biological wine, made entirely by (wine)buddy Richard van Oorschot. First vintage ever made. Thrilled to have the opportunity to taste this. From a single vineyard west of Madrid, at 840 meters altitude, with a bottom of schist. Made from 100% old garnacha, most vines are at least 40 years old. This is truly something special. Cinnamon, a smoldering wood fire, cassis and berries, some damp earth, a hint of ink, sweet morello's. Voluminous but with a very good, fresh balance. Quite unique and darn tasteful. I am deeply impressed. And there's quite some longevity too: I opened this bottle on Friday but couldn't breathe in all the impressions because of a cold, so after two glasses I put it in the fridge. Today, 5 days later, I pulled it out, took a sip and was pretty much blown away. Hats off Richard!
