Hello again and welcome to Dr. Todd's wine Bar. Today we are drinking Opaque 2013 darkness red wine. Produced by the amazing Riboli family!!!
This is a Paso Robles region blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Petit Verdot, and Petit Sirah. It has been aged in French and American barrels for ten months. I'm not sure which barrel mine was aged in but it is fantastic!!!!
The cork has a 2mm line with no breaks. The color is pitch black as the name describes!!!!
The legs last only 4 seconds. ( this means no hang over if you have the entire bottle for professional wino's.) There is absolutely no tanic distortion. The boquet is sweet aromas of blackberry jam. The inital palate is that of blackberries, rasberries, and the sweetness of figs fresh from the tree. The after taste is a buttery vanilla and spice. This wine is a perfect 10 in my mind!!!!!!!
Another buy it by the case!
As I do grom LA's own SanAntonio Winery! The oldest winery in CA!

Stewed fruit and plum nose with an earthy vegetal undertone. Smooth to drink and feels rich and warming, slight tannins but soften quickly, not too sweet. Great wine.

Smoked black cherry, cola and charred oak show on the nose of this red blend. There is compelling density to the palate, where strong but polished tannins frame flavors of root beer, baking spice and black currant. Bracingly young but full of potential.
