Lots of finesse, with a fresh and grassy complexity complementing the vanilla/barrel aromatics.

Unexpected gift from a friend coming back from Haiti. Beautiful smooth rum. Doesn't have the heat of the 4 year oak aged. This is more refined. I like both.

Birthday present - memories of Turks & Caicos - this this the aged in oak for 4 years bottle not the 8 year reserve that Delectable is forcing me to choose. I think I had the reserve in TC which is better but this 4 year oak aged is still extremely good, smooth with an almost spicy lingering heat.

RAK Rum Tasting, 5/9/2014, Brooklyn

$27 (New York), 43%

Fresh Haitian cane juice; double column distilled (to 70%, then 90%); aged eight years in Limousin oak

Sweeter, smoother, light for its age
