Aged and in a magnum. What a fancy bottle. Joy to try this. Hint of rust red on the edge of the color. Nose is cherry cordial and herbs. Sage, marjoram, fresh wood. Flavors are lovely. Still has zip. Herbal. Lush. Complex. This is lovely aged Syrah. Has a bit of mystery and is nicely aged.

Thanksgiving dinner and quite a surprise that this old wine still shows nicely without any overwhelming oak etc as per old reviews. Not all that complex but still firm and good texture and went well with all the different dishes. Of course the highlight was the double magnum bottle and the correspondingly big cork!
