The first aromas had cherry and strawberry, while the palate was more blackberry and cassis. With vanilla, a little too much vanilla. But with some air the fruit settled into its blackberry note more and the vanilla moderated some. The tannins are mild and the acidity is soft. Although this is a pleasant wine the vanilla is still too strong, making it unbalanced.

Wine made just for opening and dranking. You could really mistake this for Cab Franc from the nose alone, which shows earthiness and black pepper. Lighter than it's Napa Cab cousins, this is soft, feminine, but still presents a bold attitude. After opening up for about an hour, you'll get the spice, oak, and gobs of fruit on the palate. Hershey's kisses on the long finish. Very pleasing stuff here.
