May 4th, 2021Decent attempt at replicating a popular wine. In a side by side tasting, fairly spot on. Slightly sweeter then Justin. Cocoa nibs, blackberry, dried figs, mild oak, slight minerality.

Dec 26th, 2019I had heard about Replica wines so thought I’d give this a try when I ran across it in a store. Found out later this was replicating Joel Gott 815 Cab (a pleasant but mediocre wine at best) which, interestingly enough, sells for less than JustRight where I live. I’d have thought they’d try to replicate some higher end wine but I guess not. They sort of got close, but no cigar. Haven’t had JG in a while but struck me as harsher with somewhat nasty finish.

Mar 9th, 2019Sweet but light. I really enjoyed this one.

Jul 16th, 2018Definitely just right. We had grilled rack of lamb with mashed sweet potatoes with apples and walnuts. The plates were accented with a balsamic vinegar reduction. Not heavy on tannins. Perfect pairing. 2014
