We shared this wine with Bruce Redman and his wife Winnie, who brought it to Sue Bell’s dinner party at her house In Penola a week ago. The Redman family’s wine heritage in Coonawarra goes back 113 years to Bruce’s grandfather Bill Redman in 1908. A privilege to break bread with Coonawarra Royalty. Bruce graduated from Roseworthy and spent 2 vintages in Bordeaux before returning to the family winery. This 2013 came from a good vintage with great structure for the long haul. Showing good black currant intensity with leafy, minty, notes on a medium weight palate. Still a long way to go.
