Nice fruit nose, cherry, plum. Oaky as well. Same fruit on tongue followed by woodiness at the back end. Nice sipper.

I found the 2008, 2009, and 2011 vintages at Grocery Outlet for next to nothing!!! This is a legitimate $30 bottle of wine from a single vineyard in the Red Hills Lake County area of California. These are very rich Syrahs expressing notes of over ripe cherries, nestled against deep earthiness and chocolate charred oak. Sweet tobacco and fresh leather enhances the strong varietal character. Tight well structured tannins lead into a medium body, velvety wine with a mineral finish. We absolutely loved these wines.

Apple, grass, slight cherry nose. Tannins that actually don't overwhelm but enhance the wine. Sweet on top, berry in the middle. Very nice. The tannins are actually amazing.
