Grilled strawberry, chocolate cherry and leather on the nose. Rich depth, soft entry, burst of dark and bright fruit mid palate, and finish is elegant with hint of cloves over cognac-soaked berries and stone fruits.

It takes a minute for the nose to open up. And then it’s deep dark fruits, anise, and toasted marshmallow. Then it is luxurious on the palate. Smooth and rich and the flavors just keep on coming. Lingering aftertaste, medium tannins. Had this at a tasting at the winery and bought a bottle. I think it’s mostly cab sauv . I can’t remember. What a treat!
