Christmas 🎄 2017
Trying for a diverse group of wines, hopefully crowd-pleasers, needing to pair with a large assortment of tasty treats today.
Happy holidays to everyone.

Day one notes: On the palate, Red fruits and loamy mineral, very muted, this needs serious decanter time, or bottle age. A little dirty, horsey on the nose, could be great, revisit in 4+ years.

Day two notes: Palate still the same, but nose opened just a little more, giving up some distant cherry.

Day three notes: Cherry fruit getting brighter and some stem notes on the palate, still expecting further development, nose is about the same.

Day four notes: Welcome to the party Pinot! Well, more of a drive-by than actually coming into the house. Actually getting some traditional notes now, ripe, but firm, cherry with earthy notes on the palate. Nose is still closed, more or less, I'm resigned that this wine needs time in bottle to hopefully come alive.

Medium bodied with a light peppery finish. A great wine for both ham, pork and steak.
