Smooth blend. Accidental wine, blended of all the reds grown and produced at the winery. Dry, light acidity.

The last SAG stop of the #solvang century is in Sisquoc. I had to try this wine just for that reason.

Reliable blend year after year. On the light side, but still interesting enough for meaty dishes.

I like it when the winery gives me an idea of what resides inside their "red table wine." In this instance, a Santa Barbara red, I definitely smell/taste Pinot, but there's something else there as well. Perhaps some Syrah or Zinfandel, if definitely reminds me of a Cali field blend, if a touch darker. The color of the wine is certainly darker - perhaps even some Cabernet within?

2013 vintage - cherries, a little menthol, soft oak notes.
