Simple and I like it. Perfect for the price, I’d say. Aniseed is the most compelling tasting note. Okay truth? I’m a NUT for anything absinthe-y. Which is to say I like black jellybeans, caraway, in theory licorice (yet somehow I don’t like black twizzlers—texture?), chervil and tarragon and...Garnacha that is anise-y. As this is so it has my heart. It has a smidge of cocoa and tobacco on the end. I dunno I dig.

Certified organic Spanish garnacha. Berries on the nose. Dark fruit and some smoke and pepper with firm acidity and lingering tannins, followed by hot alcohol. Definitely not bad, but not my cup of tea.
