Slightly aromatic but is surprisingly a bit fruity. Very strong licorice flavor. Not as dry as other merlots. Rating is based upon my personal taste not being crazy about licorice.

Dark purple. I typically drink one bottle of wine in 3 days. For this wine the taste changed over the three days and the last day was definitely the best. Means I should have let it open in the beginning. Black cherry and some spices. 5-9 of Firstleaf set.

Lovely rich dark fruits—blackberry, blueberry, plum. Soft baking spices and round tannins.

Good jammy style merlot. Rich plum and full body, soft tannins. Not complex but satisfying.

Distinct plum and cherry flavors with a little spice for a nice balance overall. A little dry for a merlot, but that’s not a bad thing.

Not too keen on 2018 vintage. One strong unpleasant note I can’t identify.
